Terms and conditions

These terms apply when you use Fabliko. Fabliko is a Peace of Mind Media site, Entrada 401, 1115 SC Amsterdam, The Netherlands, and you can reach us at info@fabliko.com.

1. The service

Fabliko makes stories for children at their reading level, with their own name and avatar, to read on screen and to print. We do our best to keep the service working well and without interruption, but we can’t guarantee that.

2. Your account

• Accounts are for parents, carers and other adults aged 18 and over. Children don’t have their own account.
• You make sure your details are correct and your password stays secret.
• You can delete your account yourself at any time in Account. If a subscription is running, we cancel it for you first.

3. Free account and Fabliko Plus

With a free account you create a profile for one child and open 3 different stories. They stay available to you. You can print them as a loo poster.

With Fabliko Plus you get every story, profiles for up to 6 children, every print format (poster, fold-up booklet, word cards and colouring page), the reading chart with certificates and a story by email every week.

You pay in euros, pounds sterling or US dollars, depending on your country: pounds in the United Kingdom, dollars in the United States, euros everywhere else. Prices in euros and pounds include VAT.

• You pay in advance, through Mollie. Plus starts as soon as your first payment has come in.
• The subscription renews automatically for the same period (a month or a year), at the same price, until you cancel. The renewal is charged automatically.
• There is no free trial: the free account is the way to try Fabliko. If you join through another parent’s invite link, you get a month of Plus as a gift after your first story. It stops by itself and costs you nothing.

4. Cancelling

You can cancel your subscription whenever you like, in Account. No further payment is taken. You keep Plus until the end of the period you’ve already paid for.

5. Gifts

• A gift gives 3 months of Plus (€14.95, £12.99 or $14.99) or 12 months of Plus (€39, £34.99 or $39.99). You don’t need an account to buy one.
• You get a gift code, which the recipient redeems at Fabliko. The months start after any Plus period that is already running. If the recipient has a running subscription, their next payment moves back, so they don’t pay for the gift months as well.
• A gift doesn’t renew: after the gift months, Plus stops by itself.

6. Right to withdraw: 14 days to change your mind

You may withdraw from a subscription or gift within 14 days of buying it, without giving a reason. To do so, email info@fabliko.com from the email address you paid with. You’ll get the full amount back within 14 days, in the same way you paid. For a subscription, Plus then stops and we cancel the subscription.

7. Using the stories and prints

• The stories and illustrations belong to Fabliko.
• A story you make with Fabliko is yours to use, print and share with anyone you like: at home, in the classroom, at nursery or childcare, with the grandparents.
• You may not sell the stories.

8. Liability

Fabliko is a tool to help with reading and doesn’t replace teaching or professional support.

9. Privacy

How we handle your data and your child’s is in our privacy policy.

10. Changes

We may change these terms. We’ll let you know in advance about important changes.
